Our Giving Grows goal is two-fold.

Our church’s work and ministry can be forever changed through our Giving Grows campaign. When we practice biblical stewardship and give generously, God will be faithful to grow us—as individuals and as a congregation. As our giving grows, let us look to God to see how He grows our Faith, Community, Ministry, Trust, and Hope.

SANCTUARY RENOVATIONS
At more than 50 years since its original construction, the Sanctuary is showing its age. An update to this space will help us provide a welcoming environment with state-of-the-art technology that helps us connect with people and glorify God for years to come.

PAYING DOWN DEBT
Our church has taken on a large load of debt during construction. It is critical to pay off this present loan as soon as possible and reinvest those dollars into ministering to people throughout our city and around the world.

“The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously.”

– 2 Corinthians 9:6

God continues to call us to sacrificial giving and commitment . Giving Grows will allow us to provide more resources for missions and ministry by reducing the debt we are carrying on the new building. Giving Grows will also ensure that our shared worship space, the sanctuary, will be updated for an entire new generation.

Questions & Answers

One of the biggest questions about Giving Grows, is What is the Purpose? The First Goal will be to provide for updating and renovating our Sanctuary to provide a welcoming environment to connect us with people and glorify God. The Second Goal will be pay down debt acquired during construction of our Broadway Addition. Once we pay off this present loan, we can dedicate those dollars to ministering alongside people, not only in our city, but also around the world.

How will we pay for this?
We believe wholeheartedly that God has given us a vision to reach our city for Christ.  We have faith our church family will rise to the challenge through sacrificial giving. Our Property Management Committee and church leaders have been working on plans to renovate the Sanctuary for years. With God’s help, Nashville First expects to reach our goals and create a well-rounded facility that will help us lead the way for future generations.
How long is the commitment for this campaign?
The Giving Grows campaign will last for three years.
What is the current financial condition of the church? What are the plans to manage the current budget?
Nashville First’s financial condition is stable, given the current economy. To date our budget contributions have been below expected, however the church is managing current ministry expenses, and consistently looks well ahead to plan programs within projected budgeted receipts. This campaign will help us free up ministry dollars by paying down debt and using our resources to focus on reaching our community for Christ.
Why should I sign a pledge card to the “Giving Grows” campaign?
A campaign commitment is an agreement between the person making the pledge and the Lord, to symbolize our “faith promise” to God. The pledge amount and subsequent giving remain at the discretion of the person who is pledging.  Completing a commitment card, enables the church to know what to expect and how to make informed financial decisions.
What are the different ways I can give?
Even a small gift, given regularly, can add up to a substantial donation over time. Get creative—defer major purchases, hold a garage sale, get the children involved with extra chores around the house, reduce spending, give your tax refund.
How can I help?
First and foremost, please pray regularly for our “Giving Grows” campaign. Make a commitment to learn as much as you can about the campaign and the vision it will help us realize. Give sacrificially. The vision God has granted us can only be achieved through faith and sacrifice.
