The Children’s Ministry at Nashville First is intentionally designed for elementary-aged children to know, love, and follow Jesus with all their hearts. To help accomplish this, we have exceptional men and women who have trusted Jesus as Savior, successfully passed an established background check, and are gifted and trained to teach our kids. We use curriculum with a purposeful scope and sequence to help kids grow in their understanding of the Bible and God’s plan for their lives. Our programs and events are planned to partner with parents and grandparents to fill preschoolers through preteens with the wonder of knowing God, loving Him, and sharing this love with others.
SUMMER FUN SAVE-THE-DATES!

CentriKid Camp | July 8 – 12
Music Arts Camp | July 15 – 19

We see ministry to children as essential, not optional. Our goal is to provide a joyful, loving, and safe learning environment in which children gain knowledge of God’s Word that will provide the foundation for a life-long relationship with Jesus. We have dedicated teachers that have a passion for reaching kids in creative ways with solid Bible teaching. We use age-specific curriculum from LifeWay Christian Resources that is intentional in helping First Kids grow in their understanding of the Bible and God’s plan for their lives.
Sundays | 11:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. | January – April | Grades 4 – 6
Bible Drill is an exciting four months for preteens in Grades 4 – 6. It is designed to help kids develop skills for navigating, memorizing, and applying the Word of God. Each year, preteens memorize 25 Bible verses, 10 key Bible passages, and learn to locate the books of the Bible in less than 10 seconds. Combined with lunch, parties, games, and competition, Bible Drill at First Kids is life-changing and fun!
And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men—Luke 2:52. With this verse in mind, we strive to provide a ministry that will partner with parents, helping our children mature in the same four areas as Christ: intellectual, physical, spiritual, and social. MidWeek at First Kids combines Children’s Choirs, Kids On Mission, and Mega Rec. It is intentional in growing Christ-followers who are learning and leading worship, equipped to share their faith, and empowered to serve their friends, family, and community.
Wednesdays | 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
The goal of our children’s choirs is not to perform, but to gain a lifelong love and knowledge of music. Our age-grouped choirs are staffed by talented leaders committed to growing a generation of worshipers through instrumental exploration, music fundamentals, hymnody, and opportunities to lead the Church in worship.
KIDS ON MISSION AND MEGA REC
Wednesdays | 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
There’s a whole world out there! Not every kid can go, but every kid can be a kid on mission! On Wednesday nights, First Kids discover their place in God’s world as they explore exotic destinations, experience different cultures, and hear what missionaries are doing in North America and around the world. First Kids participate in what God is doing by praying, giving, and serving.
Mega Rec is a 15-minute large group game time that closes with a connected biblical truth and prayer. At Mega Rec, First Kids have an opportunity to move and groove, and to know the abundant life found in Jesus.
Sundays | 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Elementary students are encouraged to participate with their families in either Fellowship On Broadway or the Sanctuary Service.
June – August
Just because the school year ends doesn’t mean that our First Kids aren’t still active and learning!
Vacation Bible School, Music Arts Camp and other events keep our children busy in the summer months.
