Experiencing God: Discerning God’s Work and Joining Him in Faithful Obedience

Teaching Team: Jimmy Hester and mentors

What This Seminar Will Cover

God is not distant or inactive. He is always at work, and He invites His people to recognize His activity and respond with trust and obedience. Experiencing God is a Wednesday-night discipleship seminar designed to help believers discern God’s work and align their lives with His purposes.

This seminar challenges a common assumption in modern Christian life, namely that we make plans and ask God to bless them. Instead, participants are invited to slow down, listen, and learn how to recognize where God is already at work. Drawing from Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby and Claude King, the course focuses on developing spiritual attentiveness, relational trust, and responsive obedience.

Throughout the spring, participants will explore themes such as hearing God’s voice through Scripture, prayer, and circumstances, surrendering personal agendas, trusting God’s character, and responding faithfully to His invitations. Each session connects biblical teaching with lived experience, helping participants cultivate a posture of dependence and discernment in everyday life.

This seminar is designed for believers in every season, especially those longing for renewal, clarity, or deeper intimacy with God. Rather than driving life through self-reliance or ambition, participants are invited to learn the steady, transformative rhythm of walking with God as He leads, guides, and works in and through His people.

The Way of Wisdom: A Study Of The Book Of Proverbs

Teaching Team: Elizabeth West and mentors

What This Seminar Will Cover

Wisdom in Scripture is not simply knowledge or information. It is a way of life shaped by reverence for God and practiced through faithful, everyday decisions. The Way of Wisdom is a Wednesday night discipleship seminar that invites participants to integrate biblical wisdom into the rhythms of daily life.

In a culture marked by hurry, anxiety, and constant reaction, this seminar helps participants slow down and learn how Scripture forms discernment. Drawing from the wisdom literature and the broader storyline of the Bible, and guided by The Way of Wisdom, the course explores how the fear of the Lord shapes character, relationships, and faithful decision-making across the seasons of life.

Throughout the spring, participants will engage themes such as listening well, choosing wisely, cultivating patience, and living attentively before God and others. The emphasis is not merely on gaining insight, but on developing discernment. Participants are invited to learn how God’s wisdom forms a steady and resilient life, grounded in truth rather than driven by pressure or impulse.

This seminar is designed for believers in every season who desire a deeper, more thoughtful way of living. As part of our Wednesday night discipleship rhythm, The Way of Wisdom helps cultivate a people who are rooted rather than reactive, attentive rather than anxious, and shaped by Scripture rather than by the pace of the surrounding culture.

Disciplines of a Godly Man: Grace-Shaped Obedience for Long-Term Faithfulness

Teaching Team: Thomas West, Scott Harris, Mike Mann

What This Seminar Will Cover

The Christian life is not sustained by good intentions alone, but by grace-shaped habits formed over time. Disciplines of a Godly Man is a Wednesday night discipleship seminar focused on how God’s grace trains believers for faithful obedience in everyday life.

This seminar begins with the foundation of the gospel. Salvation is by grace alone, yet that grace does not leave us unchanged. It forms the inner life and produces visible fruit. Drawing from Disciplines of a Godly Man by R. Kent Hughes, the course explores key disciplines that shape godly character and sustain long-term faithfulness.

Over the course of the spring, participants will engage topics such as grace-fueled obedience, purity, marriage and family, friendship, prayer and devotion, worship, integrity, perseverance, work, leadership in the church, generosity, and witness. Each session connects biblical teaching with practical application, helping men see how everyday disciplines form a steady and resilient life in Christ.

This seminar is designed for men in every season of life. It is not about striving for perfection, but about cultivating faithfulness. The aim is to help men grow deep roots through grace, so that obedience, service, and joy increasingly mark every area of life.
