Nashville First considers the safety and well-being of our church members and visitors a top priority. Below are our Covid-19 guidelines based on the current CDC recommendations:

• Masks are encouraged.

Nashville First is strongly encouraging all members to consider wearing masks to slow the rate of COVID transmission, especially in light of the Delta variant and rising cases in hospitals. This is most important when in a large crowd or when social distancing is not possible.

Our children, the immunocompromised, and the elderly are the most likely to be negatively impacted by contracting COVID–either by missing school, having serious complications, or even death. The best way to stay safe is to get vaccinated, but some groups simply cannot get vaccinated. Scientists have found that fully vaccinated people can carry and spread the virus to others. Masks help to mitigate transmission of the virus.

• Mask only sections in both services.

As an added safety measure, sections of the lower level of the Sanctuary and the rear of the Broadway Chapel will be marked for mask only seating. While you are welcome and encouraged to wear a mask anywhere in our church, we ask that if you choose not to wear a mask, please do not sit in these areas. Please be respectful of each other’s comfort level and boundaries.

• Special accommodations for Children.

Protecting our children is a top priority. Since children under the age of 12 cannot yet be vaccinated, our Children’s Ministry staff and volunteers will continue to wear masks. Anyone entering the First Kids area on the 1st or 2nd floor will be required to wear a mask. This includes parents or family members who are dropping off or picking up, as well as children over age 3.

• If you feel ill, please stay home.

It is difficult to distinguish a common cold from COVID symptoms. When in doubt, please stay home. A livestream option is available for both our Worship Services on our Facebook or YouTube channel. Links are available here.

The Task Force will continue to evaluate and update these recommendations as needed.  We thank you in advance for your continued support and patience.
