Dear Church Family,
In 2020, we will observe a year-long emphasis on serving our community, strengthening our gospel partnerships, sharing the hope of Christ, and giving thanks to God for 200 years of service and ministry as Nashville’s First Baptist Church. When you consider the lives touched for Christ, the 5,000+ baptisms in our history, churches we have started, mission trips we have made, prayers offered, and more, it is a time to thank God for all that’s in our past and look forward to the future He has planned for us.
As we give thanks to the Lord for our church’s 200th Anniversary, we pray for a renewed commitment to the gospel that will sustain and motivate our church in ministry, service, and witness in our community and the world. I hope you will be one of two hundred people involved in each of the mission opportunities below during the year 2020.
- 200 people prayer-walking our community
- 200 people having gospel conversations following Who’s Your One
- 200 uniforms and Creole Bibles provided for The Joseph School
- 200 baby bottles filled with money to support new mothers and babies through the Hope Clinic for Women ministry
- 200 backpacks provided for Second Harvest Food Bank’s Ministry to Children in Need
- 200 winter coats for the Nashville Rescue Mission
- 200 people participating in short-term mission projects
- 200 hours of Community Service with Second Harvest and Hope Clinic for Women
